Cartooning

Creating original, humorous drawings is the goal of this show. Artist Jon Knowles starts with all of the basic shapes and discusses the necessity of exaggeration and minimalization. The features will be drawn and studied, with a focus on expression and character traits.

After the design is complete, Knowles scans and paints the cartoon using Metacreations Fractal Painter and Adobe’s Photoshop.
