Theme: A look at all the different kinds of animals that hatch from eggs.
Chickens are not the only animals that lay eggs. In this book we learn that many animals lay eggs. This means they are oviparous.
A look at all the different kinds of animals that hatch from eggs is the emphasis of this episode. LeVar begins by visiting a hatchery and finding out how chicks hatch. Then he joins a biologist to visit loggerhead turtles in Florida as they lay their eggs in the sand on the beach. After the turtles hatch they make their way back to the ocean.
