The course concentrates on oral and maxiloffacial surgery procedures in the office with local anesthesia. Initial evalutiaon, differential diagnosis, and working clinical diagnosis are discussed and management of the problem outlined.

Surgical procedures demonstrated include removal of fibroma, correction of a partial ankyloglossia and removal of a stone from the Whartons duct, and exposure of #27 and replacement of a bracket for orthodontic treatmeent. Dr. Neil Hoagen placed four implants in the mandible of a female patient who previously had undergone removal of a giant cell tumor and replacement of a bone graft.
