Motivate your students to gain the skills that empower effective pubic speaking.
For many people, public speaking is one of the most stressful activities in life. Yet one
of the most important skills a person can possess, personally and professionally, is the ability
to communicate clearly, logically, and with assurance.
Use this flexible 24 episode series as a classroom supplement or a comprehensive course
designed to provide the equivalent of three college credits of instruction for basic public
speaking. Each lesson also can stand alone and be used in any speech communication course.
Also available as a telecourse: Speaking With Confidence meets the three-credit
requirements that fill the last gap in the AA (Associate of Arts) degree program for many
colleges.
Host Hubert Brown, a member of the faculty at Syracuse University is joined by guest
co-hosts who are speech experts. T. Marni Voss, a communications teacher, lecturer and
stand-up comic appears in many episodes to further encourage students and allay their fears
with self-effacing humor.
Rights granted with purchase include: a) life of media audiovisual use, b) public performance, c) campus or building closed circuit and digital/video-on-demand transmission.
Course Packs (all 24 episodes on three DVDs in a single case) may be purchased for $25.00
each, plus 7% (minimum $5.00) shipping and handling. They are ideal when students are required to view all or most of the episodes independently.
Course Packs are only available to institutions that have purchased the complete
series or have licensed broadcast, cablecast or telecourse rights. Email slenzen@shopdei.com
