This episode will be a “tips and tricks” show that will include artistic techniques on a variety of
subjects.
Artist Jon Knowles starts with reflective textures in pencil, then moves on to rough, bumpy surfaces.
Students will learn how to draw a super detailed water drop complete with reflections and refractive
properties.
Knowles will then enter the digital world by creating glowing and flaring effects in Photoshop.
The final segment is on “digital compositing”, using a green screen to blend real and virtual elements
into a scene. Knowles also uses a digital painting and a digital set created in 3D Studio Max.
