The Decade of 1900-1910

Selected events and personalities are examined in the first episode of a decade characterized by transition and innovation.

A multitude of personalities and events are featured: the Boxer Rebellion in China, business tycoons such as Morgan and Carnegie, yellow journalism, the Spanish-American War, Theodore Roosevelt, muckrakers, immigration, the impact of Henry Ford’s mass production of automobiles, the growth of the NAACP, and the birth of advertising and the ragtime blues music.

Each episode has two DVDs. One provides a linear play format and the other an indexed format. The indexed format is ideal for students preparing video reports.
