The Music Factory provides a solid foundation of musical knowledge upon which grade 1-4 students can build — by teaching music through a conceptual approach and by providing interesting and meaningful demonstrations of musical classroom activities.
The programs explore the wide range of musical porduction and exposition - from an elemental study of how vibrations produce sounds, to development of diverse vocal and instrumental compositions. Each program features a well-known composer or artist.
Each program contains 16 to 20 modules held together by the centerpiece - a Music Factory. The factory is an industrial-looking clubhouse where program hosts talk to viewers about different musical activities under study, and focus on the musical pursuits and abilities of young people interested in music.
