Your children will explore the wonders of trees, including:
•How trees grow from tiny seeds to towering giants. •What features trees have in common and how they differ. •What types of animals make trees their home. Celia and Bud plan a tree planting party for her young oak tree sapling. Your students will see how all trees have roots, bark, branches, and leaves, but that some trees have fruit, others have evergreen needles, and some are gigantic while others are small. Crinkleroot demonstrates how different parts of trees are used by wildlife. Celia meets with a horticulturist who explains how to take care of trees by cutting off diseased branches and spreading mulch around the trunk.
